For counselors
Bloom is a self-hosted companion that lives with the family. When a student wants your eyes on their progress, they send a link that decrypts only in your browser. No account, no install, no new platform to learn.
A short email conversation — no demo installs, no sales sequence.
End-to-end encrypted sharing
Share links are end-to-end encrypted. The decryption key travels in the link itself — in the URL fragment, which browsers never send to a server — so the relay in the middle only ever holds ciphertext.
01 · The student's computer
The student picks what goes in the snapshot. It's encrypted at home, before anything leaves the house.
02 · The Bloom relay
The relay stores ciphertext and nothing else. The key never touches it, so it cannot open what it carries.
03 · Your browser
Open the link in any browser and the snapshot decrypts on your side. If the student set a PIN, it's the last step.
A labeled diagram of the share pipeline — not a screenshot. The cryptography is real; the boxes are ours.
Working with shares
What arrives
A shared snapshot brings the working facts of a student's application into one page you can read in two minutes.
Academic integrity
You put your name behind students. Bloom's AI is built so that what a student shows you is theirs to stand behind.
No ghostwriting
No essay or activity bullet starts without real material from the student. The activity coach can interview them one question at a time and is instructed to mark missing specifics with brackets; every AI suggestion still needs the student to verify, edit, and save it.
Provenance
Essays, supplement answers, and brag-sheet drafts carry a visible badge until the student has substantially made them their own.
AI draft — make it yoursPolicy-aware
The Common App's fraud policy and individual colleges' AI rules — the UC system, Caltech, Georgia Tech, and more — appear beside the student's work, dated and linked to the official source.
Learning, not shortcuts
Bloom's Learning Lab tutor (grades 9–12) explains a concept and draws the diagram, but it stays on the topic and declines to hand over answers to a specific assignment — study help you can stand behind, alongside curated lessons with reviewed practice.
If a family asks
Counselors never pay for Bloom — families run it at home. When one asks you about it, here is the whole pricing story.
Grades 9 & 10
$99 per month
The exploring years — interests, opportunities, and an early story-bank.
Grades 11 & 12
$149 per month
Testing, essays, applications, and aid — the heavy-writing years.
Same product on both plans. What a student sees follows their grade, not the plan — the Application plan only raises the daily AI allowance. Both include a 14-day free trial; card up front, cancel anytime.
